Silverwood Park restricts alcohol consumption to wine, beer, and malt beverages. Well, this just so happens to work out well for us because Tony and I love wine and beer, so we're planning to make the most of it, and share a great experience with our guests. To honor my Wisconsin upbringing, we will be having a REAL Wisconsin cheese taste testing. Along with that cheese, of course we must do some wine tasting too! SO...we've decided that between our ceremony and reception on Saturday, we'll have a whole tasting event for our guests with...you guessed it! MINNESOTA wine and WISCONSIN cheese. We're also hoping to have some great micro-brewed beers (which are Tony and my dad's favorites).
Right now we're having fun trying different Minnesota wines with our family and friends while we narrow down the options for our tasting on Oct. 1.
We've also used this wine idea to guide our wedding color selections. Our main colors for the wedding are deep/wine purple and a sage-y green color. Accent colors are brown, ivory, and pumpkin orange. Can't wait for the tasting, and if anyone has suggestions for Minnesota wine or Wisconsin cheese, please let me know! We've already found some of each that we LOVE -- I'll have another post on the cheese at some point here, too!
